Reps, Results & the Road to 10/10

🧠 Factoid of the Week: People Would Rather Get Shocked Than Sit With Their Thoughts

More than half of people would rather give themselves an electric shock than sit alone with their thoughts for just 15 minutes.

In a study by the University of Virginia, participants were asked to sit in a quiet room with no distractions — just their own minds. The result?

  • 67% of men and 25% of women chose to press a button that delivered a mild electric shock… rather than sit and think.

  • That’s how uncomfortable it is for most people to be alone in their own heads.

Silence isn’t easy — but maybe that’s exactly why it’s powerful.

💥 How to Get Better at Anything

You don’t get better by reading about it.
You get better by doing the reps.

First, you’re going to suck.
Then you’ll be okay.
Then you’ll get good.
Then great.
And one day — if you keep going — you’ll be fucking excellent.

But none of that happens until you’re willing to suck in the first place.

We’ve felt that with this newsletter.
The first edition? Rough.
The second? Still shaky.
But now — it's slowly starting to get better.
And we’re committed to making this the best founder-led newsletter in the game.
Not polished. Not fluffy. Just real value, mindset shifts, and facts you can drop in any room and sound sharp.

In a world full of podcast clips and overused self-help quotes, we want to make this newsletter something different — something genuinely useful.

For you, maybe it’s the gym.
Maybe you want to build muscle or lose fat — but stepping into that gym for the first time?
Terrifying.

No plan. No pump. Feeling like everyone’s watching.
But if you push through those first few awkward sessions, by week 5 or 6 you realise: you belong there now.
All it takes is the courage to be bad at something long enough to get good.

Yes, it takes effort.
And yeah — a bit of delusion.

We were delusional when we started this.
We sent the first issue to four subscribers — all four of them involved in launching JITY.
Now we’ve passed 60+ readers with a 92% open rate (well above the 39.4% average on the Shopify platform).
And we’re just getting started.

Here’s the truth:
The world belongs to optimists.
Because if you’re going to do anything big, you have to believe it’s possible — or you’ll never try.

So the next time you feel judged or laughed at for sucking at something new, just smile.
Let that voice in your head say:

“Yeah… one day, you’ll see. One day, I’ll be great at this.”

🏗️ JITY Update: Let’s Keep It Moving

We’ve finally got our next round of protein samples back — and honestly, we’re rating them an 8/10.

We’re chasing a perfect 10, but maybe we’re being too picky.
So here’s the plan:
We’re sending out another 10 samples next Friday to hear what you think.
We’re also looping back in everyone who received samples from the first round — this is your feedback moment.

It’s possible we’re holding the product to a higher standard than it needs — maybe it’s already something you’d use every day. If that’s the case, tell us. And if not, we want to know why.

This stage is for feedback, not perfection. And your input helps shape the final formula.
You’re not just followers — you’re the trendsetters helping us build this from the ground up.

On the hoodie front — we’re honestly blown away.
We expected sales to drop off after the first weekend… but they haven’t.
Baby blue sold out. And yes — we’re working on a possible restock behind the scenes.

That said, our main focus is still the protein. These hoodies were a one-off drop to bring our early community closer. No new apparel until the powder is ready.

But the truth is… momentum is building.
You can feel it.
And we’re going to keep showing up — building in silence until the results speak for themselves.

Let’s keep pushing.
