🧠 Factoid of the Week
Listerine started out as a surgical antiseptic… and a floor cleaner.
Before it became a mouthwash, it was used to sterilize wounds and clean hospital floors.
👉 Clean mouth, clean tiles — same product. Wild, right?
💭 Why We Push the Newsletter So Hard
When we started building JITY, we knew the hardest part would be getting people to trust the idea of chicken-based protein powder.
So we started studying what actually makes people believe in a brand. One thing kept coming up: provide real value.
Yes, we sell protein — but we knew that if we wanted to build a real community, it had to go deeper than just the product. That’s why we put so much energy into our newsletter.
It’s our way of showing you we’re serious about helping you grow — not just in the gym, but in life.
If you’re finding value in these emails, you can trust the same effort and attention is going into creating a high-quality, whole food supplement.
🔓 The Truth About Originality: Live First, Then Create
Every idea you’ve had?
It’s probably been done before — and that’s okay.
Originality isn’t about talent. It’s about how you think.
Here’s how to start thinking differently:
1️⃣ Consume Differently
If you only read, watch, and listen to what everyone else does, you’ll end up thinking like everyone else.
Seek out unconventional ideas, obscure books, and perspectives outside your field. Curiosity is the edge.
2️⃣ Make Space to Think
If your mind is constantly flooded with content, it never has time to actually process.
Dr. Nancy Andreasen, author of The Creating Brain, talks about the power of free-floating thoughts — intentional breaks that spark creativity.
Einstein and other geniuses swore by this.
Take a walk.
Sit in silence.
Let your mind breathe — and think.
3️⃣ Live First. Create After.
Your best ideas won’t come from scrolling — they come from living.
Say yes more. Do things that scare you. Create stories worth telling.
I’ve worked in a chicken factory for the past five years. The idea for chicken protein powder didn’t come from a business podcast — it came from something I lived through.
Real life sparked JITY.
So what’s the key to originality?
Stop chasing it. Start living.
And when you do finally create something original — don’t stop. Keep going. You never know how close you really are.
Coca-Cola only sold $50 worth in its first year.
James Dyson made 5,126 prototypes before he got it right.
Let’s hope JITY doesn’t take quite that many tries — but either way, we’re not stopping.
🔧 JITY Update: Progress, Not Perfection
We’ve been listening closely to the feedback from our first round of free samples.
One theme came up a lot: grittiness in the texture.
So we went straight back to the process and made a small — but important — change.
We’re now mincing the chicken before cooking, which should help create a finer, more soluble final product.
We’re not there yet, but we’re getting closer.
And we’re not stopping until it’s right.
Ever wondered how our protein powder is made?
Check out our latest Instagram post breaking down the 3-step process — from whole chicken breast to shelf-ready product.
🎯 Final Note
We’re not just building protein.
We’re building a movement — and you’re part of it.
If this newsletter helped you in any way, we’d love if you shared it with a friend. Let’s keep growing the JITY community — together.
Catch you in two weeks.
Same mission, new momentum.
