Not Everything Is What It Seems

Welcome back to the JITY newsletter — your bi‑weekly mix of strange facts, mindset shifts, and a behind‑the‑scenes look at our journey. Thanks for being here early. One day, we’ll look back and remember the first few hundred who believed in this before it was even real.

🤯 Factoid of the Week

Bubble wrap wasn’t born to protect packages — it was meant to decorate walls.

Back in 1957, engineers Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes set out to design a textured wallpaper. Their idea? Tiny air bubbles trapped between plastic sheets to give walls a new kind of look. Spoiler: it flopped.

But what started as a “failed experiment” turned into one of the world’s most used protective packaging solutions. By 2023, bubble wrap had grown into a $3.05 billion market.

Not bad for a mistake.

🧠 This Week’s Learning:

I was at a food show recently and came across what looked like the most insane spread of food you’ve ever seen. Starters, mains, desserts — every plate looked flawless, like something straight out of a Michelin kitchen.

Then I spotted some of our own products on the table and asked how they managed to make them look that good. The answer? They painted them. Every dish had been painted to look perfect for a brochure photoshoot.

At first, I felt a bit cheated — like I’d been sold a lie. But driving home it hit me: this is exactly what influencers do to us every single day. They paint their lives to look picture‑perfect. The “candid” photos you see? Probably their 100th take, tweaking poses and angles until it looks effortless.

If I tried to actually cook that display food, no instructions would make it look like what I saw on that table. And in the same way, no 5k‑step routine or “magic” weight loss supplement is the whole story behind someone’s success. You’re only seeing the polished surface. For all you know, they’re on Ozempic.

The point? Don’t get fooled by painted pictures — online or on a plate. Real life is bigger, messier, and more honest than what people choose to show you. Focus on building your own story, reps and all, because the unfiltered version is what actually lasts.

🏗️ JITY Update:

The last two weeks felt quiet in the moment — but looking back, a lot has actually happened.

On the powder front:
Our manufacturer tested the formula and turned it into something that tasted exactly like a Kinder Bueno milkshake. While it was delicious, the nutritional profile ended up being closer to a dessert than a whole‑food protein. That’s not what JITY stands for — so now they’re working backwards from that “milkshake version” to refine it into something that still tastes amazing but hits the nutritional standards we need. It’s not the final product yet, but it gives us hope: we can make this powder taste great.

On the merch side:
We’ve finally restocked the Baby Blue Edition Hoodie — available now while stocks last. We never set out to be known for hoodies, but the support has blown us away. It’s a privilege to see so many of you backing the brand and what we stand for: hard work in silence, when no one’s watching, and never taking no for an answer.

The reviews have been incredible too — proof that our focus on quality is being noticed and appreciated. That means the world to us.
