What are your floors?

What are your floors?

What is your floors?

When we’re on a roll and smashing it with our workouts the high never lasts forever and there will come a time when you can’t possibly workout 5/6 times a week. When this turmoil time comes you should have a baseline or a floor for how low you will let your exercise routine slip. On a good week I will workout every day but there comes a time when work requires me 16 hours a day and there is just nothing left in the tank for a workout, or I got something I need to spend my evening on. Life gets in the way and it will continue to get in the way but when my floors are set in place I know that I can achieve my 3 simple tasks weekly no matter what pops up in my week. For me it’s 3 workouts a week, hitting 180g of protein a day and 3.5litres of water. Have you set your floors? Having a baseline ensures you don’t lose all your momentum when the waves of life start to shake you up so set them low and keep them in your notes reminding yourself weekly of what the bare minimum is. We’re all at different levels so even if you are just starting the gym you can easily be knocked off your disciplined routine a week or two in, therefore set your floor at a level you know you could  achieve with 40%/50% of your effort for the week.

FOCUS ON YOUR PROFIT AND NOT ON YOUR REVENUE

Revenue is vanity, profit is sanity

In business terms, revenue is the money your business makes before you start deducting cost of goods, taxes and all bills. Revenue can be this big figure with 2 commas and a lot of zeros but some companies can have massive revenues yet there profit is in the minus. The more I taught of this quote we can compare it to ourselves. What we tell other people is vanity but what we do ourselves is sanity. We can paint a pretty picture for someone of our weekend plans to to go for a nice coffee followed by a walk before catching up with friends over drinks later that night. While your plans sounds good what if inside your dreading the drinks with friends because you know there’s going be drama or you know you won’t be fit to stop at 2/3 drinks and suddenly your wakening up the next morning regretting your actions the night before. Or worst of all what if you don’t actually like coffee so you drown it out with sugar and flavours but still get it because it looks good when your on your hot girl walk.

Anyway the point of the story is, focus on your profit, what you truly want and what makes you happy and don’t focus on your revenue, a result that looks good in other people eyes yet has no value for you.

Win the week by winning the day

Win the day by winning the morning.

No matter how badly you want to... don't hit snooze!

You got this.
