What Atomic Habits, Hormozi, and Chicken Protein Taught Me About Self-Belief
Share
Something I want to clarify — this newsletter isn’t just another marketing email clogging your inbox. You know the kind… product promos you never read.
I want this to be different.
Every second week, I’ll share some real—insights that help you become better, interesting facts you can drop into random conversations, and stories from my journey that might just help with yours.
Factoid of the week:
Did you know coffee was once banned in Mecca? Authorities feared it made people think too much—and could even spark a rebellion.

Let’s Talk About Self-Confidence
And more importantly—where it really comes from.
One of the hardest (but most important) things I’ve learned is this:
👉 Self-confidence comes from keeping the promises you make to yourself.
Think about it—we’re always more likely to break the promises we make to ourselves than the ones we make to others. No one’s watching. No one’s holding you accountable.
But you are watching. And when you break those promises, your confidence takes a hit.
There’s a quote from Alex Hormozi:
🗣️ “You don’t become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are.”
The JITY Journey Almost Didn’t Happen
I had the idea for a chicken-based protein powder over a year ago.
Every time I told myself “I’ll start the business this week” and didn’t follow through, it chipped away at my confidence.
Eventually, I convinced myself no one would care. That the idea wasn’t worth pursuing.
But then I read something in Atomic Habits that flipped a switch for me:
📖 “Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you want to become.”
So at the start of this year, I made a promise to myself:
- Launch JITY before Easter.
- Get a product on the market by end of the year.
- And no matter what—keep going until it’s right.
Because honestly, I’d rather fail trying than spend the next five years still talking about an idea I never had the guts to pursue.
Since then, I’ve worked with multiple suppliers, built a website, tested formulas (yes, some were really bad), and sent out samples.
And while doubts still creep in sometimes, my confidence is stronger than ever—because I’ve shown up. I’ve done the work.
That’s where the real growth happens.
What’s Your Promise to Yourself?
Maybe it’s not starting a business.
Maybe it’s finally running that marathon.
Or learning a new skill.
Or just showing up at the gym more consistently.
Whatever it is, don’t start big.
Start small. Win the little battles first:
🛏️ Make your bed
🥗 Choose the right meal
💰 Save a bit of money
🏋️ Get that quick workout in
Every small win is a vote for your future self. And over time, those promises stack up—and so does your confidence.
Let’s build this together.
One promise at a time.
THE JITY UPDATE
We’re currently working with three potential suppliers to bring our protein powder to life. Based on your feedback, we’ll decide which one is the best fit to move forward with.
So far, we’ve received samples from two of the three, but they’re not quite ready for taste testing just yet. We’re still tweaking the flavour strength and mixability to make sure the final product is something we’re truly proud to share.
Once we’ve perfected the formula, we’ll start sending out free samples to everyone subscribed to our newsletter.
👉 Not signed up yet? Now’s the time! Spots for free samples are limited, so get in while you can.
